What is Udyam Registration?
Udyam Registration (formerly Udyog Aadhaar) is a mandatory government registration for anyone who wants to start a Micro, Small, or Medium Enterprise (MSME). It provides a unique identity number and a recognition certificate (e-Certificate) to certify your business entity.
It is fully integrated with Income Tax and GST systems. Registering under Udyam makes your business eligible for various schemes offered by the Ministry of MSME, including protection against delayed payments from buyers.
Classification (Turnover):
- Micro: Turnover up to ₹5 Cr.
- Small: Turnover up to ₹50 Cr.
- Medium: Turnover up to ₹250 Cr.
- Validity: Lifetime validity.
