Producer Company
Registration
Empower your agricultural community. A Producer Company combines the goodness of a Cooperative Society with the vibrancy and efficiency of a Private Limited Company.
About The Service
An ideal structure for Farmers, Artisans, and Milk Producers to work collectively.
What is a Producer Company?
A Producer Company is registered under the Companies Act, 2013, with the main objective of production, harvesting, procurement, grading, pooling, handling, marketing, selling, and export of primary produce of the members.
It allows farmers to form a company, which gives them better bargaining power, access to technology, and finance. Unlike a normal company, the governance here is democratic—each member gets one vote regardless of the number of shares held.
Registration Criteria:
- Members: Minimum 10 Individuals OR 2 Producer Institutions.
- Directors: Minimum 5 Directors.
- Capital: Minimum Paid-up Capital ₹5 Lakhs.
- Activity: Agricultural/Primary Production.
